Well, I bought an 06 Dodge Dually Quad Cab Cummins. 108,000 mi... It is in great condition and has never hauled any trailer..

Only paid $17,000 and it has 6 nearly new tires on it..

Thanks for all the replies..

Now I need to put a fifth wheel hitch and air bags on it.

Chris..

Want it for towing 44' 5th wheel race car trailer. Fairly heavy.

When do the EGR, head gasket problems start?

Or did they fix these issues by 06..

Thanks, Chris..

Also had a 53' trailer with living quarters and it weighed over 26,000 w/ the truck.. I know that because a sign lit up on the interstate to enter scales..

I towed this with my 06 Dodge Dually with a 4.10 and a Bully Dog.. Got 12.1 mpg from Vegas to Phoenix..

All of these trucks are Duallies.. and I always have had Air Bags..

The Ford is a F-350 4x4 Dually.

The 07 Dodge is a Dually for $19,000 Auto..

The 04 Duramax is a Dually LB7 with auto $19,000

Thanks for the input..

The trailer weighs 16,600 lbs loaded I have towed it 25,000 miles and several thousand of those in the mountains...The truck is bone stock 2009 6.7 Cummins and 68RFE Trans...Never a second of trouble this truck eats this trailer up...

Chris..
If the pin weight is 4000lbs. or less you don't need the air bags with a Ram 3500 DW.
