rV towing, which Diesel to buy, 1st time diesel buyer
Trying to sort out all the differences , +'s & -'s to buy my first diesel powered truck to haul my newly purchased fifth wheel RV which will be a tow weight of approx. 15k lbs.
Can't afford a new truck so it will be used. Also single rear axle vs/or dually.
Will be a full timer and will not not be towing all the time. One long trip FL to Oregon, once. Truck will almost be daily driver. i.e.
don't want it to sit too long w/o running/using it - (non towing)
Thanks for any suggestions , input

I am a Cummins guy so for me it would be A Dodge
But in my opinion why a single rear wheel truck hauling a 15000 LB. 5th wheel? You will have to add air bags or leaf springs to any single wheel 3/4 truck...I would recommend a 1 ton dually for towing your RV...I would also recommend at least a 3.73 ratio rear deferential...I have been towing large 5th wheel RVs for years and have owned several trucks and trailers...Don't make a mistake and buy a truck that won't do the job comfortably for you...And there is one more thing you may want to consider and that is, there are trucks with C channel frames and those with Box frames...When hauling that much weight you should consider the strongest frame available...
