Project Rusty Revival (56k no way!)
Well, I got to work upholstering the center console this morning. First I sprayed the inside and the edges black, so if any wood happened to show through it wouldn't be AS noticeable. I am using black tweed fabric and gray ozite carpet on the center console. This is pretty much all I have got done thus far today. Here are the pics:
This is the side with the Ozite cut out and glued to it. I used some general purpose adhesive around the edges for more durability and spray adhesive in the middle to keep any slack out:

Then, while those were drying, I took the lid and stapled on the foam. This is just porch chair cushion foam I got at Walmart:

I cut the wrinkles off the side to make a more smooth surface (before cutting):

Then I covered the lid with the black tweed fabric. This was a pain in the butt and didn't turn out perfectly, but I think it turned out well. The sides were really hard to prevent any wrinkles:

Since the sides were dry, I decided to put the Ozite on the top and back side of the sub enclosure:

And, once the glue was set, I cut out the hole for the subwoofer:

I'm about halfway done with the upholstery on this, I think it's turning out pretty well. Been really adding up just how many man hours are into this truck and it astounds me. I hope everyone is enjoying it! If my calculations are correct I have over 2000 hours into this project... definitely something I am proud of.
More pics will come throughout the day and week! Merry Christmas to everyone

Got the cup holders made and mounted. I will mount the auxiliary fuse box beneath it, as well as a few more modules.

Also got the sides of the bed tacked on, will be finishing tomorrow:

Yep! Tail lights and turn signals will be LED's for sure. Going to eventually do some interior lighting too. LED's just look better too!
It's still in the process. Working on the bed at the moment. School is back in session so updates are going to be more scarce. The truck has to go back to the body shop because there is some paint peeling in certain places, just seems like poor prep. Bed is ready to come off the truck and get rotated so I can weld the underside, plus I need to make mounting brackets for the toolboxes that will go under the bed. The wood is cut, just needs planed, and then the fuel fill needs made. By that time the bed will be ready for paint and I will just have interior work to finish up.
In the mean time, I picked up the next project:

Haven't got a damn thing done lately because of school. Haven't even been in the shop for over a month and it really sucks... Hopefully will be getting some work done soon. Got a tool box in so I can mock it up and make the brackets for it. Wish I could say I would have it on the road in the spring, but I can't make any promises,
.
Not a WHOLE lot to be done yet, but enough to annoy me, haha. I JUST WANNA DRIVE IT!!!!!
