Project Rusty Revival (56k no way!)
Thanks! I think it's coming out a little better than I really expected it to. Quite pleased. Here are few more pics of the bed at the end of the day:
The white marks on the bed frame rail will be cut out and a 4x2 piece of steel will be welded in. This will be for a variety of things such as tie down hooks and will afford me the ability to put sides on the bed.

And this is how she sits for the night:

Tomorrow will be welding in provisions for mud flap hangers and will try to order the under bed tool boxes I want so we can weld up the brackets for them too. We still have a 6" piece of flat that will encircle the outside of the bed, which we will be working on tomorrow, too.

Got a little bit more done before lunch... more pics!
Got the bracing welded in for the mud flap mounts:

Made the 2x4 holders with provisions for tie down eye bolts:

This is how the 2x4 mounts will go in, and an example of the tie down eye bolt. Eye bolt is rated for 60,000 lbs. Will be making some tow hooks for the front and rear with them, too.

Looks great just got done reading the whole thing. Great job keep up the hard work and she will get finished and u will be proud of ur self and all the frustration will be worth it. Don't forget to give pops a hug and a thank u. And merry christmas to all the bombers on here
I'm.. Actually not a fan of flat beds in the least, but I couldn't find a good bed within 1300 miles for under 800 bucks. So, I'm out to prove that I can make a bed I approve of..I promise it will turn heads.

. I have a few opportunities for magazine publications, I think. Will be very interesting to see how things play out.
