Thank you! It's coming along at a snail's pace. School this semester is my main priority and has kept me out of the garage for the most part. On the side I have been working on a couple race cars, too... just to help fund some projects around the shop.

That said, my awesome pops is in the garage working right now (while I am back at my apartment studying). He got the tool box all mocked up getting ready to make the brackets:

It's not much of an update, but it's something. Once these brackets are welded on, I will be ready to pop the bed off the frame of the truck and flip it over to weld the underside. Gotta build the bumper onto it yet, then it will be off to paint. Plan is to complete that and all the interior wiring on spring break the first week of March. BUT... if you followed the thread you know my plans never work out... It WILL get finished, I assure you, but God only knows when that will happen.

Haha, thanks man. I definitely have a connection to the truck and people just don't get it...

And yeah... studying... if that's what you call watching Monster Jam, then yeah, I'll get right on that!

Work on the truck has continued today! I was hoping that I could resume yesterday, but my Grandpa recently got diagnosed with cancer and I spent the day with him... family first!

Anyway, this week I am really trying to get the interior bits and pieces tied up. This means gauge wiring, exterior light wiring, sound system install and wiring, and installing the gauge cluster again.

Here is the amp rack and base for the center console installed between the seats:

Then the center console installed no the base:

Got the volume **** for the stereo installed, and in the process ruined all the upholstery on it, so I will reupholster that when I am done with everything else:

And then all the wiring laid out underneath the amp rack:

Also, work on the bedside boxes is progressing very slowly. Dad has been working on it some evenings while I am away at school, so this is how far we are (on one side, ). We will be pulling the bed off tomorrow evening so that we can flip it and I can weld the underside and finish everything up.

And last but not least, a pic of both my babies!

For the truck, I will be working on wiring all week. I have added so much to it that it's just a nightmare. I didn't get it finished enough before to remember where everything belongs and what wires are for what. I had them labeled for the most part, but alot of the labels have fallen off over the course of a year, so I will be sitting down with the schematics for the alarm system and the window switch box and trying to figure out what goes where... SO FUN!

Anywho... short lunch break update:

Got the speaker terminal for the sub installed. I decided to put it on the bottom of the center console for a clean, out of sight install:

Got the Alpine Type-R ready to install... just need to find the screws...

Random snap shot of the back of the cab to demonstrate how horribly a Droid takes pictures when there is opposing light:

And this is the wood we will be using for the bed. I like the grain and knots in it. The picture really doesn't do it any justice though:

After lunch the plan is to work on wiring in the alarm and window unit. I cannot find window switches I like, so I will have to look further for those... Thought about scrapping the alarm system completely just for ease of use, but I would like to have the remote locks and windows (the whole reason I bought the unit). When all that wiring is ready to go through the firewall, then I will wire up the amp power line. Will be bolting in the console and amp rack too.

Didn't get much done this afternoon... just got the bed off the truck so we can finish welding it:
