Which year?? Because if it's a 2012, it's only a v6 TDI 3.0 w/ 225hp and 407ft/lbs of torque (still far less than the powerstrokes... and the powerstroke is made for pulling), but if you are referring to the v10 TDI that has 307hp/553ft/lbs, that's a 5.0. Either way I'm not dissing the TDI's.. they are extravagant motors in every single way. But an f250 Heavy Duty (or Super Duty) is MADE for pulling heavy loads for long periods of time.

for the tdi stuff. 225 or 307 hp. that's still more than the OBS. and the power to weight ratio. 3,000 pound car to 8,000 truck. it makes a difference.

 

Power to weight doesn't mean a whole lot.. the f250 is made to pull heavy loads for long distances. Thats like saying that since a Viper has 500+hp it would be a PRO at hauling and 'have more power' than an F250.

I am agreeing with you except that the OBS are not power houses. Yes they do have power and will pull anything, but you just won't go very fast. I personally think that stock they are ungodly slow. Hell my 99 waxed my buddies 95 with the edge evo, and I was running stock at the time.

 

Thats odd... because my STOCK obs w/ a lift and 33's felt like it would wax my late '99 SD 6spd w/ intake and straight pipe....

the ZF6 is kinda weird to shif some days. there are days where i play hell trying to shift. but 95powersmoker. you're right. i almost forgot what this thread was about! some people just don't realize...
