you gotta have a boost gauge to see how much boost you are making. the computer will defuel if you have sustain boost of over 10 psi but if you spike more than that for a short time it will not cut out. to much boost and your at the least getting new headgaskets. hopefully you dont blow the engine. you need a boost gauge.

You're not going to build enough boost to worry about it,especially if your only building 10-15 psi.

still need a boost gauge but no most likely you will not blow a headgasket below 15 psi

I feel for you guys or should I say I don't. Down here in Arizona it was 70 at about 1:00 today. The lowest it has hit so far is 31. Still riding the Harley in January. Wouldn't even know how to act with that sort of temps. With regards to the Turbo master it is either the turbo master or running thru the vacuum not both. I am pretty new at all this diesel and it is really cool to learn all the tricks of the diesel trade that is a a far cry from the gas knowledge of engines.

We had -20 below this week too, right now we're having a heat wave -8 below with wind chills to -20 below.
6.5L I think your having more than turbo problems. You should wire your turbo open and closed to see if it makes a difference.I think your going to find out it's not the turbo, not if your putting out that much black smoke. But wiring your turbo open will answer your question to weather or not it is the turbo.
