Just remember, 500 hp isn't factory. A factory rebuild will not cut it...

Point being, you spend 3k on a local rebuild and then spend 5k on go fast parts, then break the transmission and builder says its your own fault, you will have to pay for another tranny. Starts adding up quickly. Learn from Joe's experience.

100% correct. what ive decided to do is, being that im in a pinch for time, im going to get him to rebuild it using a suncoast extreme duty rebuild kit, suncoast converter, and all the other key parts from suncoast. im also puttin it in writing that the truck will be making 500 rwhp and the transmission should be able to handle it

if me and the builder sign it then he was aware that it was going to see these numbers

the one thing that made me a little better is he saw my stack and (assuming it was modified) asked me what HP i was making and what my HP goal was...i told him its only at 300-350 now but 500 is the goal so verbally he was aware but we all know that doesnt matter unless its in writing to

I'm running a suncoast build now, beware, the TC is very tight... I should have sent it back for work but never did. Its very hard to get spooled...
