Never have seen a roof rack on a truck. Figured that's what the bed is for...

my problem is between a tool box and stack (soon to come) my little 6 1/2 foot bed is gunna get full when u add in a 37x13.5 spare. i was thinking a roof rack would give me a spot to mount my KC ligths a place to set my spare tire and some off roading tools (shovel ect)

TireGate.com - The Ultimate Spare Tire Carriers!

What about something like that? that will keep your spare tire out of the way and you can build a rack or something for the shovels up on of the sides of the bed.

Just a thought.

sorry to take so long to reply but i go to this place called general sams off road park in huntsville tx or ill go out drivin in fields (my trucks no good with trails) really the roof rack isnt so much for off roading as it is to get my full size spare out of the bed so that i can still haul stuff (6" bed+37" tire+5" stack=no space)

Keep an eye out, look for 4x4 shops in CA I know a few fab shops make a good roof rack for the trucks, a guy at my mortgage company had one on his 02.. Just looked like a zombie slaying dirt devouring mobile command center

I carry my spare on long trips, otherwise its not in the bed.

In well over a million miles I have never had to change a tire on the side of the road. Good up keep, pressure checks and such and you will never have a flat.
