Pre and post turbo makes a difference too.
Mine's pre-turbo and I keep it under 1300 when I'm hauling.
A guy could get it up there into 1600 for a few seconds at a time and I'm sure it would be fine,just don't get in a long hard pull and stick it at 1400,I melted #6 at between 1350-1400 for about 2 minutes.(the piston was a beautiful golden brown)cost me some green
