OK, so i I don't turn my own wrenches........ roughly what do you think I am looking at. realistically........ not trying to make it look favorable from a 6.0 guy.

 

$1800-$2500 depending on the shops labor rate and turn around time.

When did I say that? I said and EGR delete(which every truck equipped with one should have), coolant flush and FICM rebuild would be cheap. Clogged oil coolers happen over time, which can be fixed by running ELC(which every truck should have also) if you catch it before it gets too clogged. If you know how to plug a scanner in and check your temps before buying you can avoid replacing that altogether.

 

You are better off with your GMC. Unless you were getting one hell of a deal on a 6.0, the DMax is a better truck.

 

A couple means 2 any more than that would be a few hundred, but IDK if I would consider 600 a few hundred

The OP asked how much for a mechanic to do it, I said a couple hundred because I have no clue how much a good mechanic would charge just for an egr delete because I would just do it myself. I never said oil cooler because that costs $250 easy and I put the prices just for reference, but those are just some things to go wrong and they dont always do. You could do an EGR delete for free if you know how to weld.

 

It's all good, I knew what you meant. I am better off with my DMAx, that thing is a MACHINE. The 6.0 was just cheaper but also older with more miles, they were 2 different vehicles. No worries, in the long run, I will be more happy with my DMax.
