Tranny Slipping? Or T/C Lock/Unlock?
My buddy has a '02 f250 cc 4x4. He has had some problems w/the tranny slipping. Says it feels like it kinda slips then starts pulling, kinda feels like it bumps into a gear. Its usually at higher speeds, so it sounds to me like its the tc locking and unlocking, cuz my '01 ctd does that a lot. He isnt very mechanically inclined and i havent had the chance to ride in it yet to see if i can figure it out.

Torq Converter is Slipping. Which will eventually cause the tranny to stop working. Been there 3 times got the repair bill for all three times too. I suggest you rebuild the trans with all sun coast parts, and replace the torq converter with a triple disc converter. It is well worth the investment.
