yeah, idk alot about these diesel clutches but i do know the stock clutch lasted 160k of towing but i heard all the hype about ditching the dual flywheel but to be perfectly honest with you, the clutch area on the stocker is just about twice as big as the aftermaket that i bought so we'll see how long it last!!! the only reason i took the stock clutch out was i could feel it slipping sometimes when i'd be loaded heavy and had to start on a hilll and just can't afford to get stuck anywhere on the road! let me know what you choose and how it works for you...

I've never had to put anything other than a stock clutch in anything so i really don't know. i need one pretty quick. it's sliping bad. and that's not even loaded. i was looking at the double disc but if i don't tow enough, and heavy enough with it i'm afraid it would smoke the discs way faster than it should. i guell we'll wait and see. according to SBC website. you should probably have the street double disc

Exact issue I am experiencing after having my clutch and flywheel replaced. hate that I now have to live with this noise as I was told its awful annoying and sure doesn't sound like no big deal to me. I hope that is correct but after 20 years of not hearing this it sucks to now be hearing this in the exact places you are mentioning. Low gear letting it creep and coasting to a light in 4th or 3rd its awful loud.

Gear rollover. 100% normal, you just can’t hear it with a dual mass flywheel. The ZF is a clunky heavy truck transmission. Drive a manual truck from the 60’s, they really made some noise. The trick to less noise is more RPM. Don’t lug it, and get on the clutch a little sooner when stopping. You’ll get the hang of it.
