King Pin VS. Balljoint
#1

It's not any stronger than a ball joint front axle. To be honest, the "c" on the Ford kingpin knuckle is very weak (thin) and the trunions are very close together (think unit hub bearings vs. fixed spindle and the distance between them).
I like ball joint ones better simply because the only things that go bad are the ball joints. Ever rebuilt a kingpin? Setting caster or camber; not with a king pin. Also, if you plan on running large tires, plan on spending money on bushings to replace the springs.
