bought this 95 12 valve last month for $3,500...lotsa miles, plenty of rust, auto, 4x4..known issues as related by seller and by observation, no function of; tach, speedo, lockup, overdrive, air cond. Cobbled up workarounds in place time of purchase; LU switch on dash, GM one wire alternator (mounted crooked, ate belt) TPS bypassed to potentiometer, mech fuel pump and heater bypassed with small elec pump; pressure unknown.
I have; tightened connection to PCM, which gained speedo, wired up OD switch (tranny works fine now but manually), mounted proper alternator but not charging.
Read more threads and it seems that my PCM, if good, is not getting proper input...ESS or CPS could be culprit..I have no way to check freq with my current meters. Ordered $12 ESS and will try that before I send PCM/ECM off for a $138 ebay rebuild.
My ECM # 8602 8335 and not finding those used yet. So, current issues remain; no charging (still checking signals at shut off relay, swapped that out with several known-good, no joy) no tach, no air cond (system unknown if in good health), plus the tranny LU and OD, currently functioning under work around manual switches.

not a bad looking truck price seems fair. How does the 4 wheel drive work? All the stuff you mentioned just takes an experienced person like your self to sort out.
Does the 95 have the crank sensor up on the balancer for the tach?

its the manually shifted TC and it works well. The ESS is indeed on the crank harm balancer up front, just found it yesterday covered in thick grime. So much butchery has gone on under the hood and with the fuel system, it will take a while to sort out. I felt that the price was fair and certainly way lower other trucks I have seen sold around here. There is def a very solid resale on them, at least the 12 valve P pumps in my area.
