There s. 242000 miles on the engine daily driver never towed or pull heavy loads and she gets new oil changed every 3000 miles rotella 15-40 she has a slow respond when I try to speed up and passs trafic. She stumbles. On acccelerstion. I rebuilt trans thinking that was the problem but no difference. Could. Weak injectors or irp valve be the culprit also has new botch fuel pump I instaled 4 mths ago. She starts up fine in cold weather. But there is a slight miss when idle , truck is all stock only KN ftr and 4"exhaust No check engine light comes on. Any tips would greatly be Appreciated. Thanks ,95 powersmoker

Raul, Start up a new thread. Sounds like you have a separate issue.

Those are the only things on that fuse circuit so the short has to be one of these.. The fuel bowl heater is the most common.. Have you looked at that link i posted, click on index and then scroll to page 80-84.. Are you sure its #8 fuse?
I have a 1998 e350 diesel 7.3 liter van and I am having similar problems as daves the link that you provided to look at is not working for me to look at those pages is the fuel heater on the side of the van or in the back side? and if you can provide me with a different link that might show me the diagram you were referring to in the reply to daves? thanks

It's the only wire going to the fuel bowl. On the drivers side of the bowl... Unplug it and replace the blown fuse.

I believe yours will be fuse 30 but make sure in your owners manual. You can also find a link in the sticks on the forum for an online owners manual if you don't have yours. Im on my phone otherwise id help you find it.

Not true 97's have 2 wires on the drivers side. Heater wire on top and water sensor below.
