Sorry I dont have all the terms down I will know more by the time this thing is running, and a GPR is a ? I will try to get a scanner on it today.

Glow plug relay. It is located in the just to the left of your fuel bowl... It supplies energy to your glow plugs.

Had the same problem. It was the fuel bowl heater except it was burning fuse #22 disconect wires on fuel bowl and make sure they are not contacting metal tape the ends 97 Obs

Thanks to those of you who helped with suggestions and yes it was a problem with the wiring harness that connects to the fuel bowl heater, the wires are routed to close to the turbo and had melted through causing the short. My Mexican mechanic elimanated one thing at a time, but for 150 dollars he rebuilt my starter, new selenoid, two new relays and wiring harness plus about 6hrs labour. Try that in Canada or anywhere else. So thanks again. daves

You are correct except for fuse 22 is for F series... His is an E series which is why it is #8.

hey. See. If. You can shed some light on this problem I have on my 97 powerstroke she runs well , new transmision ,new filters but on take off engine sort of stumbles, slight hesitation engine sounds fine when idle

1997 powerstroke has a slow throtle respond all filters are new , also new lift pump, new trans she starts of well and after 50 mph there's no diference if I accelerate Any tips appreciated

How many miles does this truck have on it? Any smoke when you are having issues? How long since you last changed the oil?
