Default powerstroke trubo?

hey guys, i am looking for a trubo for a project i am doing but all the turbos i have looked at are way out of my price range. well i have a HUGE truck junk yard with countless numbers of powerstrokes in it. i need a turbo with a 90 to 120 A/r in the exhaust side and i was wondering if any of you guys know the A/R size on a 6.0l powerstroke?

Don't know what the AR is but you do know they are variable geometry turbos hydraulicly actuated via electronics, right? I would like to know where this junkyard is too, what state is it in? Thanks

The last ford turbo that was vacuum operated not electrical is on a 7.3L, the 6.0,6.4 which is twin turbo and the new 6.7L all have electronics.

The 6.0 has a turbo that's oil feed line goes in the top and drains out the bottom. Both 6.4L turbos are the same way. Only one of the 6.4L turbos is electric vgt controlled. If you split them apart and can rig it up single it might work for you. The 7.3 turbo is fed thru the pedestal and drains back down thru the pedestal. I've never seen it done and don't know if it woupd work but you could try to take the unison ring and canes out of the 6.0 turbo and just leave the VGT solenoid in to plug the hole

Best bet is to find a 7.3 with an aftermarket unit on it, nothing from a 6.0 is going to work. We have trouble spooling 66mm turbo's with .80 A/R housings on them... The only way you'd find something with that large of an A/R is an atmosphere turbo on a compound setup. All stock turbo's from 6.0's up are all electronic VGT turbos.

Turbo's are not cheap, gotta pay to play!
