Yes I've found my problem too, probably was the same issue but the previous owner let it go so long that mine has actually elongated the holes in the housing that holds the brake and clutch pedals, so I'm going to have to replace the whole bracket. To take the slack out for now, I've actually been able to pop the arm off the end of the shaft attaching to the master cylinder and "clocked" it on spline over and now I have full pedal again. Never had to replace my clutch in the first place but oh well, $h!7 happens.

Mine was low but it seemed to grind a lot more, the old fart whom I trade my CJ for it definitely let it go too long. I think he knew what was up, because he had the bushings kit in the glovebox along with the injector return line kit.

Mine, zf5. Pretty sure it'll be ugly whenever I do tear it down. Till then I've learned a few tricks on how to "drive" it. Like the double clutching and stuff, but I still love the hell out of it way more fun to drive than the '03PSD with AT.

My ZF is on it's way out as well. The only downshifting I can do is from 5th to 4th, it grinds if I try to drop any lower without stopping. I can't upshift quickly from 2nd to 3rd either as that causes it to grind as well. I'm approaching 160k miles, and I know the previous owner had a fifth wheel hitch in the back and I sure like loading it up as well so it hasn't been an easy life.

Dang, syco, I got my truck with 33?,??? Miles about two years ago, it's at 380,000~ miles now, the only thing I can suggest until you get it repaired is to drive it like a big truck. Double clutch and in down shifting, make sure you get your rpm's high enough to match tranny speed. My truck only grinds in fourth if I push it too fast and it doesn't like down shifting unless I double clutch it and get them rpm's high enough. With light pressure, when the rpm's match up she just "falls" into gear.

I will have to give that a try as I miss downshifting. I love the sound it makes especially when cruising in the hills. I will be looking into a rebuild this summer.

This has been the most promising place for parts. It's where I plan on ordering from when I get the cash to rebuild mine.
