Default powerstroke

O.K. I am thinking about a engine swap I have a 2002 powerstrike with lots of hard miles and am facing a rebuild or a swap I have located a engine with 40 k on it but it comes out of a 97 I know there are lots of differences but is the long block the same and all I would have to do is change out injectors and all the bolt on parts?

The block is practically the same. It's everything else that will have differences like the HPOP, turbo, etc.

What is wrong with your motor? You can get a rebuilt kit from RIffraff for like 1000 bucks or something like that... Then just some machining and whatnot and your good to go...

the motor had a bad last summer a broken air intake tube lots of dirt roads chased what I thought was injector problems and finely turned out to be no compression on 2 cylnders and lots of blow by so either a rebuild or new motor
