My Dodge Pile
Here is what I am working into my daily driver. I started with a 1992 w250 179,000, fresh auto, bad wrecked junk broken up pos body(the po was a 500+ pounder). 1970 powerwagon decent cab sheetmetal,
1968 d100 been setting in a dirt floor shed for 20+ years (re. rusty on the bottom), otherwise straight w/nice trim.
I cut the floor and firewall out of the 70 and 92 saving the dash, plumbing, and wireing from the first gen. I made my own cab and frame mounts. I tried to make it look as factory as possible with urethane cab mounts. The radiator support is a merger of 70 and 92 with some extra scrap iron scabbed in. The firewall sits just about where it did in the 92 compared to stock. I used all the outside sheet metal and trim from the 68. It is just about ready to drive, the bed and hood need to be painted. The AC needs charged.
I am really happy with the way it has turned out so far. I have added a 4 inch exhaust, 3200 spring, + 40 bosch injectors, M@h M3 and dynamic timing, HX35w, pyro, boost, and trans temp guages. I pulled the torque converter and sent it to Performance Torque Converter and had it toughened and tightened( HD thrusts and fin brazing ) They asked how tight I wanted it and I said " as long as it don't kill the motor it'll be fine", I had to lift it a few inches to let the front diff clear the engine cross member. The front springs were built by St. Louis Spring the rears are from a 1998 GMC 3/4 ton.
My plan was to mechanically keep it mostly 92 but look like a 1968. sorry for the long post. thanks for looking Rocky

The Dodge pile is tagged and insured. It runs out really well. The AC blows cold and the overdrive works. I went to a local car show last weekend, on a bet, and entered it in the unfinished class. It won third place amongst at least 12 entries. I am very happy with the way it's turning out so far. It still needs the bed and hood painted, the gooseneck hitch and rear air bags. I hope to make it to Terre Haute in August. Wish me luck, Rocky
