Check/change your oil. It's the first thing a ford garage will do and there is a reason for it. Powerstrokes use engine oil as hydraulic oil to fire the injectors. As the oil starts to break down, it begins to get foamy. I'm not even sure it's the kind of foam you can see. Even if it is new oil, It could be contaminated by silicone from a past repair. Silicone depletes the anti foaming agents added to the special oil powerstrokes require. Now days, most NAMEBRAND oils have it. I believe it is a cj-4 or sh-4 or something like that. I know if the letters are followed by a number 2, it does not have the anti-foaming agents. If the oil IS foamy, the intensifier piston inside the injectors will compress the air instead of spraying the fuel. Once the oil is changed, it could take up to 200 miles of driving to replace the bad oil in the HPOP system. Since you cant start I would suggest draining the oil in the oil rails and resevoir also. It will take some doing to get the hpop primed again. Keep an eye on your tach when cranking. your injectors will not get the command to fire if under 100 RPM's. This oil business sounds crazy, but I'v been there. I had to change my oil repeatedly to get rid of silicone which really sucked because it was full of amsoil. Hope this helps. p.s. don't use starting fluid and don't overheat your starter. They are very expensive.

Check the lift pump pressure by using a tire gauge on the schraeder valve located on the driver's side of the fuel filter assembly. Should read at least 20 psi while cranking.
I strongly suspect the injection pressure regulator valve (IPR valve). This has to do with the hpop system. best way to check the hpop system is with a good snap-on type scanner that will monitor the pressure while cranking. A high pressure gauge could also be rigged up. I have never done this, so I can't help you much. I have had IPR valves go bad, but I hate to see you start replacing parts without knowing for sure. A good scanner and someone who knows how to use it could detect other possible causes.

thanks guys, ill let my dad read your inputs and we will follow up with them as soon as we can. its just crappy because were losing our house and were trying as hard as we can to find one, but we cant. were going from 2200 sq ft and a half acre for our 4 dogs to probly 1700-1900sq ft and usually never any land. and nobody takes pets. which is bs because we dont let our pets destroy things. they are all very mannered. we're clean people and its a shame that trashy people get housing and get to edit: up rentals by bringing their dogs and cats inside and letting them and **** all over the place, and then good people come along, and now they have to either get rid of all there dogs which in total money spent on them would probly come to around 4500 dollars, just to live in, a hole that was never cleaned anyway? on top of that bs then they want a cleaning deposit for house thats totally been :Edit:ted on and not ready for a move in anyway. i have been looking for a house strongly for 7 months now. ive found 1 that could work, but we didnt want to have 4 dogs in a neighborghood, even though there was room we didnt want to be the adams family with 4 dogs . anyway ive seen probly hundreds of houses on craigslist and they most of the time looked ok, so id make a list in a town and dump a hundred dollar bill a trip up out of town to go see the houses, and most of the time wed go up there just to be letdown by pig pens and a happy little real estate bish that insists we look into the house and still wants her 300 dollar finders fee every month, . so... thats my life. theres more to it but if you want more just ask l8r i have to watch my moms cooking. ladder dudes and thanks for all input. ill try out the few things that dont cost as much money cause we're broke and are losing 800 a months to the california deficit. happy day to you all

What does the oil pressure gauge do while cranking on it? If it does not move to the normal while cranking but does when ether is shot to it, you probably have a high pressure oil leak. Could be injector o rings or a bad pump.
