Default 1999 E350-7.3

I run my service truck low on fuel and truck began running terriblrts. Major loss of power&violent missing&vibrations under load. Truck starts and idles great. I found my fuel tank contained about 2" of rust as was fuel bowl contaminated. I changed tank, cleaned pick-up,changed fuel pump, clear lines with compressed air, cleaned fuel bowl and change filter multiple times. Condition. Still exist. Had tech at job site scan systems. He states injectors past buzz test anseem ok. But says fuel pressure regulator has fault and. Aacting very erractic spiking all over & flat lining. Says some rust could have made it that far. I have noticed that there is a fuel pressure regulator and a injectionregulator. I need a little bit of knowledge on this matter and i know im knocking on the right door.THANKS

The truck is 1999 E-350 Superduty 7.3. Its primary use is a service truck. There are no modifications all components are stock. Truck has 350k and has been running Mobil-1 since new and has on time PM schedule. Problem started after running low on fuel and contaminated the fuel system.

We just had a 2006 van come in with the same stuff, just had hard cold starts. It only had 160K on it. But it ended up being 6 of the 8 injectors, customer wanted to replace all of them, and we added an AirDog 100. Those 2 things fixed the problems, but with a van it is very hard to work on.

Ya funny feeling about injectors. They not cheap... I have no smoke or starting problem. Cleaned FPR got some power back but have a shutter and like a spark knock condition from a take off. If i give pedal 100% she gets up and goes. I have spare motor on the ground but like you say they not easy to work on..

On a van you have to take the driver side motor mount off to lean the engine over to get to the passenger side valve cover. Is it possible that the motor mount wasn't put back on properly?

still have missing issue. Just got busy at work. Going to clean fuel lines and regulator again throw another filter at it in the morning. Have minor debris in bowl. Does anyone know if injector regulator could be an issue??? Really dont want to deal with injectors.
