I recently purchased a 2001 powerstroke 7.3 and the block was bad I was wondering if I could put a 92 7.3 IDI in place where the 7.3 powerstroke was

 

With enough fabrication anything will fit anywhere

 

Why? Just find another powerstroke and put it in.

 

Some people just like the idi engines more. Or some people do not have the funding to do whatever they want LOL

 

It would be cheaper to swap another powerstroke. The idi is a good engine but I would not choose one over a PSD

 

I like the IDI Engines more LOL

 

Go ahead and do this make sure you get the two engine wiring harness and merge them together. You have to do some trial and errors, but I like doing that it make me more informed. Go for it and or do more research to help you. then you can help other.
