Default Charging problems

I have a 1996 cummins and now im getting a GEN light. Ive checked the fuse its good when its running its got 12 volts but I think its from the batterys I got a new alternator and its still doing the same thing and its not a 140 its just a 120 do I need a 140? The truck had sat for about a month in the summer when I got my new truck and the wires corroded and it wouldnt start. When I changed my battery wires the truck started fine but was just running off of battery power ive worked on it for a couple of months now and no results im im dier need of help

I'm not sure on the 12v but on the 24v the pcm controlls the alt through the asd relay. So you might try swapping it with another relay in the fuse box.

I am going to have to try that. I was driving today and my gauges had a point where they didn't work at all, but no loss of power.

No its still good. I was looking aroumd and someone said it could be my crank shaft sensor??? Could this be possible that its not working? Someone else said that my wires could be to coroded to push any power tjrew them. I don't know what to do i hate just throwing parts at it.
