I have 2 LLYs and an LBZ
The 5500 has over 110k on it and worked hard.. in the beginning we had tranny problems.. it would down shift when you where going 65 70 and bring you all the way down to 15.. but allison gave us a new tranny every time it happened, and that was the only issue there..
The other two trucks have run flawless just a few random front end components..
I would be interested in the 4.5 for a new everyday vehicle.. as long as i can make it fast of course

07 classic with a lbz,motor has been out twice but I still love it.

 

this is my first diesel truck, my motorhome was diesel. mine is a 08 cclb 4x4 duellie I bought new for $ 42.000.00, retailed @ $54,000.00 I got it at the right time! no mods on engine or trans yet, ranchhand bumpers front and rear

 

i have the 2002 lb7 i love this truck probably mostly because its pretty hard to find, it is a six speed manual 4x4 truck. it has afe intake, straight exhaust, 6" rcd lift with 35" tires, edge juice with additude, tool box, centerforce dual friction clutch. this is my first diesel i bought it in 2008. future mods i am going to do a bd turbo, arp head studs, four link sfa, detroit simited slip in the rear, 4" exhaust, fass fuel system. i do not plan on buying the 4.5l
