Default What Kind Of Duramax Do You Have

Lets take a poll, how many Dmax owners on here have what kind of engine.

Is this your first Diesel, what do you like about it, what bombs do you have, any future mods coming?

Do you plan on buying the new 4.5 duramax when it comes out?

Ill start first, MY truck is a 01 LB7 duramax 4x4 Ext. L/B

Bought it in Jan 07 and really started bombing it in November 07. First was Exhaust and intake. Then came the programmer. About a week later a new stage IV transmission was dropped in to hold the power my tuner was making. Then came the airdog, wow what a difference that made.

After rebuilding my front steering i felt like it was time to upgrade, and Now i use Efi Live to tune my truck, and i just love it.

I love the rumble of a LB7 at idle and the roar it makes under full throttle screaming past 3k rpms. I think i might be hooked on lb7's..... untill i can afford single cab dmax for a toy

I had a 2006 LBZ Duramax but recently traded it off on the wifes Tahoe... it was a good truck for the most part. The bombs i had on it were: intake, exhaust, Edge Juice w/ attitude stacked with EFI live, Suncoast six speed, LB7 turbo, loveland diesel stage two injectors, ARP head studs. 3" lift on 18" RPM wheels with 33.12.50 Toyo Open country m/t's 5% tint all the way around complete Alpine sound system bumpers painted to match factory black LED tail lights smoked headlights 08 cab lights heated leather seats towing mirrors....... dont think i forgot anything....

I started with an 05 GMC CC/SB LLY. Had no issues whatsoever with the truck. I had predator programming, a 4" turbo back, cranked t-bars, and 285's on 10" wide wheels. Only dyno'ed once, best of 424 HP and 763 FT/LBs...

We decided that I could lower the payments and get a newer truck so it got traded for the 08. It's a Chevy CC/SB LMM. I have already put on the 4" exhaust, lost the DPF, and programmed it with a Quad II. Haven't dyno'ed it yet but it feels just as strong if not more than the 05.

I'd like to add a billet grill, leveling kit, and a set of 18"s. I just haven't found the right set yet.

I have an '05 LLY. This is my first Duramax but my third diesel.

Mods are in my sig. My next ideas are paint to match items and some wheels.
