Hey guys i'm new to diesels and im tryin to learn as much as I can. Im definately already addicted to them! I got a 2004 Chevy 2500 crew cab with the LLY duramax in it. So far I love the truck! Its got 83,000 on it now and I was just wondering what are the best ways to help get the most life possible out of my injectors. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

 

change the fuel filter at the proper interval and use an ac delco or better.

also how often should i change the oil in my diesel ive been told 7500 miles for a diesel im running shell rotella now i just feel like thats way too long is this accurate?

 

Nope, that's the correct interval. (Should also say that in your owner's manual). For the fuel filter, once every 10,000 miles

 

you cant change them too many times either.

 

Also run some type of extra lubricant in you fuel every once in a while.
