Default VGT + Boost

What are you guys getting for boost between 65-80 mph just cruising down the interstate on your lbz's? I am not looking for WOT or any data while towing. If you could include how you are reading it, that would help, too.

I get around 6-7. That's aftermarket gauge pressure.

Has anyone tried to increase their cruising boost? PPE and ATS both sell manual vane contol/boost foolers and was wondering if they would help in the power and mpg realms. What would be the pro's and con's of doing that?
