1994 6.5t need some knowledge on problem
So I'm pretty sure that it's the ops or fuel pump relay. Found a thread saying to test the pump by jumping a wire from any ignition on fuse to the g terminal on the aldl in the cab and sure enough there the pump goes. After I put a new one in
. Is it fine for me to keep it rigged like this so its running whenever the keys on . My understanding is the pump should alway be on when engine is running anyways? Truck is definitely running nicer how I have it now.

Have you relocated the PMD? Most of the time PMD failure will cause the truck to die like you're describing. It's happened to me a few times, but it stopped after i put mine in the front bumper with a heat sink from leroy diesel
On a 1994 do the dual lift pump relay upgrade. Or buy one.
Use only Ac Delco parts for these unless going with an upgraded lift pump.
Use only an Ac Delco for a 1993 if going with a stock style lift pump.

Hey man, I have the same issue with my truck (94 6.5L turbo diesel), First I replaced/relocated the PMD, didn't stop the issue, then I changed the EGR and CDR (cdr does the same job as a PCV) valve, didn't stop the issue. Just bought and replaced the fuel injection pump, I have not had a single issue since. I bought the pump from SS Diesel Supply. They had a kit that came with a new pmd and resistor, pump and gaskets. it was pricy, but peace of mind was worth it
