Having the bare minimum for compression is not what I would call good, combine that with a slow cranking starter and possibly undersized batteries and you likely have the cause of your hard starting.

Faster cranking speed from a new or rebuilt gear reduction starter and good batteries like theses from walmart: EverStart® Battery MAXX-78N (if made by johnson controls) or rebuild the engine.

Worn rings/cylinder bore and or valves would cause low compression hows the blowby?

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Could be highly likely as 6.5's in the duallys are usually the first to go as theyve generally been worked harder

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Or you could sell me the truck and give me a killer deal

Fix the starter first and see how that goes.

Then if little improvement as a last ditch effort you could add a can or 2 of engine restorer to the oil to see if any compression improvement can be had-it is little more than a bandaid though that used car dealers use to get worn out crap past buyers for a few weeks.

I'm gonna get a new starter and new batteries as soon as I get the $$ and see what happens
