Default Hard start

Ok so I got my truck back today from the shop & they got it running. They've started it up everyday & it's started right away even when it was -10 out & not plugged in. I get it started first try like normal drove it home shut it off & it won't start or hard start when it's warm. I was wondering if that could be the injector o-rings leaking by since it'll start fine cold but not hot it's a 94.5 & this is the first time the truck has ran in 7 months thanks!

possibility remove fuel filter and inspect for oil in fuel bowl also verify that the nut is on and tight that holds the ipr to the hpop if not the ipr is able to slide back and forth and cause a no start rough idle and stall

The truck doesn't stall or run rough or anything. I checked the fuel bowl & was clean fuel. Took the valve covers off & watched the injectors as it ran but the truck was still cold so I'll have to warm it up a little more then look.

Ok I've done some more diagnosing and I've hooked up a gauge and checked my oil rail pressure. When the engine is cold I have round 2000psi and opening is round 800psi. When the oil is warmed up the rail pressure is at 600psi at idle and then opening is at 400psi. I dead headed the pump and both sides out of the pump with the oil warmed up is at 300-400psi. The pump is a Terminator T-500. I got new o-rings for the IPR valve but that valve is new. So I'm at a loss of why I can't get oil pressure when the engine is hot or warmed up.

Default Newbie, me too!

Bought my '97 power stroke f-450 brand new. Only 122k miles to date. New glow plugs. New injector O-rings. Long cranking time when warm. Cannot get codes because mechanic changed out bad mother board about 10 yrs ago. Could not get new, so used a rebuilt. No codes since then. Don't know what to check next. Any help appreciated. Pro-mechanic of 25 years wants to shoot my engine!

Anyone have info on purchase of a 7.3 ltr motherboard for '97 power stroke capable of issuing codes? My current remfg unit will not. Via Google, can't locate a source.
