I would appreciate any help anyone could give me in regards to this, here is my dilemma...My truck has run perfect until this past summer, it seemed to get more and more difficult to start as the summer went on until finally one 90 degree day it just wouldn't turn over. I initially checked the batteries and found that one was not holding charge, so I changed both, keep in mind I changed them to the correct specified interstate batteries that cost me $150 a piece. Even after changing the batteries the truck had difficulties starting until it wouldn't crank at all, not even turn over. So I removed the Alternator and had it checked, fine, removed the starter and had it checked, it was putting out more than sufficient power to crank the engine, I removed the ignition switch and replaced it, still nothing. Help Me! Does anyone know what this could be? Wiring possibly? Relay or fuse somewhere? I am at a loss... need some help...

would it happen to be a stick shift?....possibly the clutch safty switch?

 

could also possibly be corroded battery cables as well

 

Agreed. However, if you JUST changed your batteries, no doubt you took a cleaning tool to the terminals?

 

try a voltage drop on pos/neg cables know for sure
