i started taking it apart tonite to put new valve cover gaskets on

and i have a problem or need to know thing

can u pull the thing out where the distributor would be and does it matter if it moves around or does it just run the oil pump and i can just take it out and put it back in

i cant get the last bolt out its under the big vaccum thing attached the thing that goes down through the block there

It doesn't matter how it goes back in as long as it is all the way down and properly seated against the block. as well as engaging the oil pump.

thank you got it all apart just need to go get the gaskets and start reassembling
