No Crank Electrical Issues
Hey guys I have a 2003 F-350 6.0l that is having some frustrating intermittent no crank issues. It all started a couple weeks ago I was cruising around out in the prairie and hit an abnormally large badger hole, so next time i tried to start the truck the instruments would come on and everything had power but there was no pre start injector clatter and it would not crank over. I found a connector that clips to the ignition lock cylinder housing that was broke, I could not get one from ford so I super glued the plastic parts of it back together and presto it worked great for a week or so. Then started having issues again, so I pulled the lock cylinder again and noticed a broken contact on it, new cylinder and again she worked no problem for about two weeks, while it was working good I replaced the starter that had been bad for awhile (bendix disengaging, replaced with a cheap autozone starter). Then started having issues again, it would start no problem when it was cold but if I drove around for awhile and shut it off it wouldn't start and again no pre-injector clatter and the glow plug light would stay on for a very long time, now I believe my glow plug relay is burned out while also still having the same intermittent issues of it not cranking over. ANy help would be greatly appreciated. My thoughts were on maybe Park safety switch? Also wondering if the starter gets power first and it wasnt getting a good connection and not allowing power to something else down the line?? This is very frustrating!!!
