cross over steering
Looks like you're building a tank! If your truck was hit with a TOW missle all that would be left is the steering brace.
I see you have the front sway bar on there. I was under the impression I could not do crossover steering because it wouldn't fit/work right with the sway bar.

Idk Paul, haven't seen if it works with the cross over steering or not, will find out shortly. I've heard the same

Actually, I think the cross over steering won't work if you use the factory pitman arm; I lined the steering box up with the 2wd holes after I took the plate off the back and the sector shaft is just about center with the front bolt on the sway bar mount. Factory pitman arm would definitely hit, pitman arm that came with the kit is atleast a 1" drop arm. Swaybar plus crossover steering may be a very do-able combination. Will let you know.

That pitman arm in the kit is atleast a 3" drop, I looked at it on my way out the door this morning. I have another drop pitman arm sitting on the floorboard of the truck Bobby. It was supposed to accommodate a 6" lift but I had bump steer like crazy and my truck would barely turn to the left. I'll measure the amount of drop sometime, and if the kit I have clears the sway bar you have first dibs to that drop pit man.

Won't clear the sway bar, got the steering box and first half of the steering brace bolted on today to mock things up. Although it won't fit, I think I already have a solution.
proof it won't fit. And my solution is to move the sway bar clear to the front, torch off that rivet and use that for one mounting point and I'd have to drill a new hole for the 2nd bolt. That'd move the sway bar forward about 6" and down about two.
The pitman arm/drag link should be able to move freely above the sway bar arm. If not in an in-front/above orientation. Idk just keep following the thread
I'll get it figured out and I'll be sure to post my solution so you guys can keep or re-install your sway bars.

See I had the complete opposite result. I did like everything to the truck and it made no improvement. I have like the only leaf spring suspension truck with a trac bar
, other than swamp trucks with 13" of lift that is. Trac bar did jack, and sway bar did squat. Which is why I rebuilt the front end completely and decided to trash the factory steering components, because my trucks steering was awful!!!

I have to move my truck about 15 feet with no steering
, I got a little ahead of myself and cut the steering shaft with no way to install the new borgeson steering shaft as there are no splines on the steering column half. Whoops...
