what kind of stabilizer are you running? a stabilizer is required on any steering set-up other than a hydraulic assist or full hydraulic set up, the hydraulics acts as the dampening force. from what i've seen i should be able to turn my dual stabilizer bracket up a little bit and put the mounts on the top of the bracket rather than the bottom as it was designed for factory application. My axle shafts should be delivered wednesday and i should be able to get the assembly under way. hopefully the truck will go together smoothly i know i'll have to get the u-joints installed before i can put the knuckles together. (i'm pretty sure the axles arent comming assembled) i still have to drop the lower grease seals and bearing/race out of the inner C's. once i get everything assembled i'll start on a proper write up and review. keep following

so, i removed the bearing and grease seal. in order to remove the bearing race i have to remove the soft plug from the lower portion of the inner C. now since i havent seen any of the plugs in all of my looking around i'm hesitant to remove it for fear it wont go back in or re-seal.... if all else fails i'll have a machine shop make a plug with an o ringed fitting or something, although i'd have no idea how to make it stay in place.

or worse yet, i destroy it removing it (that sounds like the more realistic event)

There's a good Dana rebuild tech article on Pirate 4x4.

Sweet thanks Paul, that diagram that's in the site basically showed me what was a mystery part was... The low kingpin plug. The bearing race holds the plug in place. Basically I'm gonna get a big hammer and let it rip, no worries I have what I need. But I do say... I don't think I can compete with that write up... Double thumbs up man

Overlooked yet another thing... The axle shaft kit that invade purchased is a 35/35 spline inner and outer... Just so happens that the truck is a 35/30 inner/outer... So my locking hubs will no longer work. And since I have the selectro 8 bolt flange manual hubs it's damn near impossible to find a set of lockers that will even accept 35 spline.

Swap to a later hub? D60 hubs are all over.

Could, just hate to... Hubs were like just rebuilt. And I'd still have to buy a new set of lockouts anyways. And If I do that of course I'm going to have to get new rotors thats just one more thing I have to buy thinkin bout getting a new splined hub machined for the selectro guts
