This should be easily overcome with a slightly larger hone size in a 5-hole nozzle say 0.0005-0.001". On the dyno a 5-hole compared to a 6-hole all things kept constant, the 6-hole made ~ 11hp more with a bit more smoke. The only thing I can see being the difference is the piston hat design between the two.

I can turn the nozzle down to an exterior dimension of 7mm to fit, make some pintle alterations and they will match the piston bowl properly. This of course is your decision, but I would be interested to try it.

Was that on a VE truck or a P-Pump truck? When the holes on a VE injector get to large the fuel wont atomize as well.

Well I have asked a couple people that know way more then me and they agree on the 91.5 to 98 12v are the same spray angle. As far as the 5 hole outdoing a 6 hole. Everybody so far has got more out of the 6x16 and 6x18. That being said maybe no one has tried a monster 5 hole. Not sure. I know some people have done pretty well with the 370's and 435's ( 5x12 and 5x14's ) . If everybody stops trying different combo's then we will be stuck where we are. I enjoy reading and learning. Will be watchin.

I think some of the confusion may be that the true " MARINE " tips in the 370 hp and 435 hp ratings are incorrect angles for a factory cooled truck. Its hard for me ( as someone who has no experence ) to figure out what is true and not. I know when I get in my truck it starts when I turn the key.
