Hey guys just got my 24 valve about a month ago, it was an ugly beat up farm truck but low miles so I figured okay why not, anyways all I've done is visuals, previous owner straightpiped stock exhaust, I recently started workin at an oil refinery so money isn't really an issue but I still don't wanna get too crazy but I know it'll take some good $$$. Any suggestions to start??

 

comp box or edge, injectors, exhaust, bigger turbo

 

you can pull good horse from a high setting on a programmer but it wont last as long. you want some 150HP injectors, lift pump, smarty S-03, intake, 5 inch turbo back, intake manifold (probably banks), good intercooler, water/meth. injection, maybe a cam

get 7x.010 SAC and 63/68/.80 with head studs--- well under $2000

transmission and lift pump will be needed

 

Jkidd I am completely new to cummins I've done work on a lot of gas motors but I don't understand the numbers. Could u clarify what a 7x.010 SAC and a 63/68.80 is? May sound dumb but only dumb question is one not asked

 

7x.010 sac is about 175-190HP, 63mm turbo will support about 550HP
