I have the same exact problem and no codes when scaned . depending on what shop I have been to they try to sell me everything , what was your fix

New TC is the solution. If it still shifts good once it is up to speed you can replace the TC and be done. The problems ensue if the sprag clutch locked and has been spitting metal into the coolers.
