Might Change Water Pump, IDK Yet (Just so it's done and I don't have to fight it later).

Already did the tensioner, idler pulley bearing and belt.

 

Hell if you are doing all that in one day don't forget the 12 pack

Getting ready to go bumper to bumper amsoil, I have 144Kk miles, should I change the hoses and belt too?I can't see them, I'm deployed, but my garage is full of amsoil and new parts for when I get home in a few weeks!

 

It's already been done also.

 

Not to hijack the tread but is there a specific kit I can get to adjust my valves? I know that cummins has specfic kits out for there heavy duty engines and what not didnt know if I can get a kit from them for our little 5.9s or not. I just hit 100k the other day. I have a list alot like what you have going on.

 

not sure if there is a specific kit , all it would include is a barring tool and some feeler gauges, but all you need is feeler gauges , and regular metric wrenches or sockets and allens, cant remember the specific sizes... you can bar the engine over by putting a socket wrench on the vibration damper , I know thats not the correct way to bar the engine but it gets to job done...

 

Found a barring tool. Not sure if its the cheapest you can get one but if your ordering stuff anyways might as well. I like it beter than the socket on damper even not downing that way but this way is beter if you have the tool. just my 2 cents.
