Looking for recomendations for a new steering box for my '01

I'd get a factory replacement, nothing fancy or "better". Then a steering box brace for sure.

Agreed! Just an aftermarket replacement steering box will do. Most parts stores will have them on the shelf. It'll make a huge difference in steering for you!

I was a little cautious about using a "parts store rebuild",I went through 3 on my 95 gasser,my local dealer has only rebuilds,was suprised at that,their warrenty 12,000 mi or 12mths,I do have the pitnam shaft support brace,for got to put it in the sig

Borgeson box is what I've heard is top shelf... need one of them myself

I'm also in the market for a new one. I have been looking into the Borgeson box and that is probably the one I'll also be purchasing.

I just installed the PSC SG851 steering box and that is the answer to cure the crappy steering of the 2nd gen ,I also have the 2010 linkage I recomend do both Yes I agree it's some $$$ to do it but the result is BEYOND WORTH IT!!!!! The truck is very stable both 35mph right thru the 90mph on the highway i test drove it. The box is much bigger in all of its construction just quality all the way. No more steering brace,
