Default POWER STEERING PROBLEM!

I changed my steering gear box today because it was leaking and now my power steering dosent work at idle but if I rev it up you can feel it trying to work and running down the highway it works almost to good. I was wondering if I got a bad steering box right out of the box or if it might be might my power steering pump? Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like it could be the pump.

Lift your truck off the ground and tuen the wheel with engine off ... Sometimes it needs to draw the fluid in .. do it several times and then start engine and hold the steering wheel for 10 sec. in each lock to lock ..

Keep posted
