Default 2001 cummins

Looking at an 01 6 speed cummins that has 220k miles on it. Super clean for the miles, no rust, new vp44, only exhaust and an intake. What other common problems are there with these trucks? It's a 3/4 ton 4x4. And it's a non 53 block, leaks no oil.

Front end and lift pump, guaranteed to go on these trucks. Besides that, pretty solid.

Because of bad lift pumps, the injection pumps can be an issue too... You want to start that truck cold and you want to start it HOT. I bought an 01.5 that acted fine until it was really hot, like highway speeds for 30-40 minutes hot and then it would be a hard start due to IP issues.

If it is at all difficult to start or doesn't fire right away I would steer clear.

Maybe I'm a little over cautious there, but once bitten...
