Default Cummins motor exchange 99 to 2001 crankshaft sensor not there?

I am trying to replace my 1999 dodge cummins motor with a 2001 cummins motor. Got ready to install it and noticed few plugs were different but just used ones off do 99 motor. But ran into a possible problem. I saw no crankshaft sensor and place on the motor was capped off. Also there is not even a plug on harness. How can I get my 2001 to run in the 99 body?

I saw in another ad that crankshaft position sensors are not on the 2001 cummins. But I'm just wondering if I need to change the harness, or leave the 2001 harness and engine computer on it. And if that's the case is there another computer or harness from inside the 99 truck that needs to be changed?
