Might have a boost leak at the exhaust manifold. Check and see if you have a bolt missing.

thanks guys for all your help but i know it's not the power steering pump being low because i just topped the fluid when i bought the truck and the sound is alot different then a power steering pump low on fluid. it's definetly a boost leak somewhere by i cant find it my pops who drives semi's for a living says it's either vacuum leak or boost so the search continues

boost prob seeing how it is when you drive if it was vacum leak it would make the noise all the time not just driving so spray all of your boots with starter fluid and around your intake housing and see if it changes idle speed if it does its sucking air

Do you know how many pounds of boost you were getting? Mine started doing the same thing.

Tighten your vband on the back turbo itself. My truck did the same thing and all it was was that band being slightly loose. Haven't had it happen since
