Default strange noise... need help

Hello everyone, before I start with my question let me introduce myself because this is my first post as I am new to DB. My name is Rob and I'm from Tampa, Fl. I just recently purchased my first diesel and it's a 98 Dodge Ram 2500, 5.9L 24v Cummins. I picked the truck up for only $1800 but it's mechanics special at best. The body is in rough shape and the truck has high mileage but when I purchase it seemed to run pretty well. Now after driven it for a week or so it's developed a fuel leak that seemed to be coming from plate the intake is bolted to. So I tightened it and the fuel leak stopped. Now the motor makes a high pitch whining noise when the truck is hitting boost. It doesn't do it at idle or when reving the engine in park but only when the engine is under acceleration. The noise seems to be coming from the driverside which kinda worries me because that's the side the IP is . The truck is bone stock with all original equipment. If anyone has ran into this same situation or who knows what could cause the noise please let me know. I've looked the truck over for a few hours today and cannot figure out what it is...Thanks for any help!

yah I checked the intercooler tubes and didn't see anything suspicous. And the noise isn't like a hissing sound it's kinda like a gear or bearing whine. It's hard to explain but I dont think it's a boost leak.

Mine make a high pitched whistle at high rpms, but mine sounds like its coming from the turbo side. Same high pitched sound I bet

The thing is the pumps would make that noise all the time not just when he is driving and building boost he said it only does this when he is driving so i would rule those ones out Sorry!
