Shouldn't be a vac problem that I can figure.

The T Case has to be in 4wd before it sends vacuum over to the front axle to connect the pass side shafts.
4x4 works fine, just won't go in when I'm moving at anything other than maybe in town speeds.

I was thinking of bypassing the T Case vac switch and putting something where I could turn it on or off myself. Kinda like a posilock setup but using the stock vac actuator. Just would need a small 12v air solenoid and that's it really.

My Jeep doesn't have a disconnect front axle and I have no problem putting it in and out of 4wd at any speed.

So then could it be the same problem I had and the selector handle is not lined up right where it connects to the transfer case. Could be a case of it's not completely out of alignment yet, just gettin there and so when your going slow it will slip in but with any speed the shifter just won't push it in place.

Just guessin here cause there really isn't much in there that could be causing this. It's a pretty straight forward area of the truck.

So where exactly is this vaccuum line? I don't see anything attached to it anythere.
The drive shaft still turns in 4x4 but the front doesn't pull.

Thanks to this forum I had the silencer ring off and a BHAF in it as soon as it came it..

Thanks again.

NICE ABOUT 2ND GENS STARTING WITH A JANUARY 02 build date and all 3rd gens is they didnt have that vac disconect garbage.

the 4x4 posi-lok is nice as ya can have the front end locked with the t-case in 2wd and when it comes time to engage 4wd just a gentle tug of the lever and you are in.

Crawl under the passenger side behind the front door.... when you are looking at the CAD (central axle disconnect) mechanism, there is an electrical connector, and the vacuum connector. the vacuum lines go over to the frame about a foot south of the CAD. There are two of them. From there, they are hard lines that follow the frame to a crossmember and then up to the transfer case. Mine were recently loose where the connect to the hard lines at the frame.
