92 hot soak start problem

Question 92 hot soak start problem

hi guys ok so the truck is a 92 cummins with 275000 on it i was told its a replacment ip and 94 turbo if that matters but my issue is if the truck is at opperating temp and i shut down it dont want to restart after a few minutes you have to crank the hell out of it to get it running ... seams like its not getting fuel to me but i dont know ... if i let it cool down 45+ minutes in 30 deg weather it starts perfect ???????? im lost and pretty new to these motors please help

Sounds like the head of the ip is worn. Try pouring cool water on the pump next time it does that and see if its starts.
