Yeah sell the 2wd and buy a 4wd. The short list of parts needed....
Plus LOTS of misc parts....
If you got a donor 4wd truck for pretty much nothing and your 2wd is in AWESOME shape then I would think about it. Otherwise I would sell the 2wd and buy a nice 4wd.
- Axle
- Springs
- Steering
- Brake Lines
- Both Drive Shafts
- 4wd Transmission
- Transfer Case
- Transmission Cross Member
- TC Shifter
- 4wd Speedo Cable

To find market value, check the market! go to craiglook.com and search the nation for D250 and you'll find prices ranging from around 2k to 12k. Depends on how clean, how many miles, auto/stick, and how much the seller is dreaming!

What's the basis for doing the 4x4 swap? Is your current truck in excellent shape? If it is maybe consider swapping the body on a trashed 4x4. Either way, if you want to do a swap, I think your going to end up buying a 4x4 truck for the parts, buying them separately wouldn't be very cost effective. Not sure what your goal for use is, but a slammed 2wd drag truck would be pretty sick!
